In the first 24 hours you have mild soreness, sometimes called a “massage hangover.” Drinking a lot of water during the day that you have the massage may help.

It is not required by law, however most therapists will ask you to complete a medical history form and then discuss your medical background, treatment preferences and concerns. Tell them anything you feel will be a factor in the massage. For example if you have sensitive skin, an allergy, or like very light pressure, tell the therapist and they will alter their massage accordingly.

Remove as much or as little as you want. Normally you undress everything except your underwear. The therapist will have a blanket/or sheet draped over you and will only leave body parts exposed while performing the massage on that specific area.

Yes! A massage therapist is expected to be tipped 15-20%, the same as a waitress or a hairstylist. If the massage is discounted, the tip should be based on the normal price of $70 per massage. If you are using a gift certificiate, tips are not included on the certificate.
