After working with several excellent personal trainers over a period of fifteen years, I feel qualified to say that Keith Scott is truly in a class of his own. His level of commitment to his clients' goals and passion for his work is exceptional. Furthermore, Keith combines this passion and commitment with a very high level of knowledge about the workings of the body and how to best utilize training. He seems to know exactly how to address every potential obstacle or ache, and has been able to help me with everything from eliminating a knot in my neck to sleeping better at night. Keith's approach to personal training is truly personal - I have always felt that our workouts are designed not only for my individual level of fitness, but for how my particular body feels on a given day. During my first session with Keith, I was eight months pregnant. He knew exactly what to do, and what not to do. After having my baby, he took me carefully through every phase of my body's recovery until I was able to do very advanced training. Now, at the beginning of my second pregnancy, Keith is once again tailoring my workouts to how I feel each day, while keeping our training fun, challenging and innovative. I always look forward to my sessions with Keith, just to see what new things he has in store!

In late 2007, I made a decision to begin personal training sessions at BREAKTHRU. This was the first time I had ever used a personal trainer and naturally I wasnt sure what to expect. Thanks to Kevin Deputy, This decision is the best one I have made since I started working out at BREAKTHRU.

Kevin has been nothing short of amazing the way he has worked with me. From day one, Kevin knew my physical limitations and used them to help me get in the best physical condition I have achieved in about 20 years. I have always stayed in good shape throughout my life but Kevins personal attention to my abilities and capabilities has helped me push through to a new level of overall fitness that I know I could not reach on my own. If I remember the date right, it was early July when I started Personal Training with Kevin Deputy. He was a dramatic change from the previous trainer. Kevin is focused on getting you to achieve a level which when you start you will think hes crazy. But, if you want to do the work he will get you there. He is a great cheerleader and has a strong positive approach and attitude. For someone who is serious about training he is great. I strongly recommend, if you are serious, you give him a try.

I should note he is always on time, gives you his full attention during your training, keeps excellent records of your progress and is just generally a good guy. I look forward to my time with him.

Personal training is my gift to me. Although hard work, my experience with Kevin has been great. Just when I believe I cannot improve, Kevin encourages me to try. Whenever necessary my workout routine is changed to help keep me motivated. Training works!! Goals are set, resulting in an increase in my strength and energy. In 2007 I set a personal goal of achieving good cardio vascular health, overall fitness, and weight loss. Prior to joining BREAKTHRU, I interviewed numerous fitness coaches and trainers at various gyms and athletic clubs in my geographic area. Although some of the trainers had certifications, most did not have certifications and lacked experience with one-on-one client training. The facilities they represented had cookie-cutter programs for groups that were only slightly modified to accommodate a clients wants. In addition, most believed that fitness could be achieved through general aerobics with some strength training via nautilus-type circuits. Anyone performing a short internet search will find that neither aerobics nor machine-based strength training will result in athletic level fitness, weight loss, or provide any noticeable muscle definition. In addition, training a client on what they want to do does not always give the client what they want to achieve.

The primary reason I joined BREAKTHRU is my personal fitness coach Keith Scott. Keith holds several national certifications, and has 17 years of hands-on experience. While there are many trainers in industry that can provide basic strength training, Keith Scott provides training based on old-school free weights combined with using your own body weight and gravity to develop strength. In addition, Keith Scott has several unique abilities that separate him from other trainers.

o He is able to see what a person is capable of doing, regardless of how they look. If they are young, old, overweight, handicapped, etc. he is still able to see what you can do and help you achieve beyond that level.

o He is able to train a client regardless of how they are feeling or what limitations they have. If a client comes in for training injured, he re-works the session around the injury, while still working the client toward their end goal.

o Regardless of how hard you train, you will never be sore, hurt, or injured following training, and that includes the next day. There are a lot of workouts that leave a client sore or immobile the next day or even 48 hours later. Clients training with Keith will never have this. This is the true benefit of working with an experienced trainer.

BREAKTHRU and all of the fitness coaches have provided an important part of my overall fitness program. In the seven months I have been with BREAKTHRU, I have learned various techniques and exercises including weight lifting, spinning, running, and pre-/post- workout stretching. I was successful in 2007 in achieving good cardio-vascular health, and in 2008 will continue working on my overall fitness, strength and weight loss. I will continue to train with Keith both to reach my goal and to go beyond my goal, because I know he has the experience and skill to do it.

I decided to hit 50 this year. I dont feel almost-50; I dont think, nor act it. I dont look almost-50; Ive got amazing genetics and a great hair colorist. I can almost get away with ignoring it almost. The calendar doesnt lie; I had no choice, it is going to happen.

The choice I did have is: what style will I do in? Enter the day I walk into BREAKTHRU. I was bound and determined that I was going to join a gym and get myself a trainer, get in the slow lane of the fast track to a better body. Instantly I liked the vibe of the place, made an appointment to see Keith Scott and came in, on time, for my evaluation.

Keith is all business; the business of instantly evaluating and setting a course of action. He has a sense, no make that the intuition, knowledge and experience, of what the individual client needs. Keiths insight is dead on and as long as you give your 100% added with Keiths energy and chaotic plans you benefit with a synergy level of 200%. He is driven for my health, best interests and well-being. My goals are not lofty: lose 10-15 pounds but mostly tighten up and improve my overall health and endurance. The scale has been tossed (a true disciple of Keith) and my body is looking toned and solid; I love wearing tanks (have to show the fruits of my labor) and dancing on bar tops. I feel amazing!

Keith Scott is not your average trainer. Hes killer of a trainer who is dedicated to the health and well being of all his clients. Give Keith your 100% and reap the returns 100-fold. Im really going to enjoy hitting 50.

My personal training at BREAKTHRU Physical Therapy and Fitness began when I planned a weeklong rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. I was determined to be in the best physical condition to enjoy 90 miles of river rafting, 20 rapids, and several strenuous canyon hikes and climbs. After a thorough exam by owner/physical therapist Dr. Lance Knaub, he and trainer/manager Justin Miloszewsky created a program to help me achieve my personal goals of building physical and core strength and cardio stamina. They were careful to consider my problem areas such as lower back, and incorporated exercises to improve flexibility. The coordination of care offered by BREAKTHRU impressed me, and my knowledgeable trainer guided and encouraged me to achieve a level of fitness beyond my expectations. I think the friendly and caring staff was almost as excited about my trip as I was! My personal training began four weeks ago at BREAKTHRU and already I feel the difference in my strength. As a long distance (marathon, half marathon and recently 60 mile 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk) walker for the past five years I have built up flexibility and endurance. I wanted to work on my strength this winter since it is difficult to walk outside in the inclement weather. My trainer listened to my needs and came up with a plan. We meet for 30 minutes twice a week. I get a great workout but never feel sore or injured the next day. The trainers at BREAKTHRU are professional and knowledgeable and great motivators and has helped me improve my strength.
