Pulling Motion 1
“The Row”

Here is what you can do about it:

If your shoulders are rounded forward from sitting all day in front of a computer “The Row” is an exercise that can help retract and correct your posture. The row is a pulling motion that will help strengthen major muscles of the back including the lats, posterior deltoid, traps, and rhomboids. This exercise can be performed in many variations.

The Machine Row
  1. Sit facing the machine with an arch in your lower back (Good Extension)
  2. Pull the handle or handles straight back towards your torso while you exhale
  3. Drive your elbows as far back as possible for you to squeeze your shoulder blades together.
Equipment Variations
  1. Tubing
  2. Dumbbells and flat/incline bench
  3. Barbell
  4. Rings
